FELLOWSHIP OF CHRISTIAN ATHLETES
FCA is the largest interdenominational, school-based, Christian sports organization in America. FCA focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference for Christ. The John Carroll FCA Huddle is starting its fourth year and provides a great amount of opportunity for fellowship, service, and growth in the Lord. We invite everyone to come check it out!
The John Carroll – Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) has an exciting and fun God-Centered Program that seeks to let all students encounter God. This year you can look forward to a variety of different activities and events with FCA.
The club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday mornings of each month from 7:00 to 7:45am for our Huddle Meetings in the Main Gym or the Brown Room. There is always breakfast and every time we meet there is something different to look forward. We look to see how God impacts our lives through sports and our relationships. Some of the things we do are play sports games (volleyball, basketball, pillowpolo, dodgeball, etc.), have student lead worship (guitars, singing, worship cds), pray, listen to guest speakers (former college standouts, coaches, and others), and encourage one another. In addition to all that, this year the FCA will have a once a month social event to allow students a safe, fun, and crazy time of fellowship. The social events are also opportunities to invite friends who don’t usually come to FCA. Finally we are hoping to add some service projects and times to share the gospel with others.
On the backside of this paper is the calendar for the year. We are still looking for leaders to organize certain trips and lead meetings. Please consider either leading or attending as many meetings and events as you can. We will be having a sign up for those interested during our first or second meeting. Please try to put all these on your home calendar now but we’ll also give reminders later too!
